The ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Project Engineering Department is committed to creating turnkey solutions for our customers. The team implements numerous technologies, including cold runners, tooling and automation.

The department maintains various sample tools that can be used to determine processing requirements in combination with automation. After extensive benchmarking, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ can manufacture the production tooling in-house at our DESMA North American Manufacturing Center (NAMC).

CREATING INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

The DESMA Project Engineering team consists of industry veterans and young professionals. The team plays an integral part in tooling and cold runner designs, brush systems, de-molding stations, and other process-oriented automation. DESMA can take your product from a design thought to a production concept, regardless of how challenging the application is. The Project Engineering Department acts as a single point of customer contact throughout the project’s life.

TESTING & OPTIMIZATION TO ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL RESULT

Once the concept has been presented and approved, the DESMA North American Manufacturing Center (NAMC) can create a prototype mold. Trials on the prototype mold can ensure the project’s scope, when scaled to production, meets the customer’s goals. The testing phase is essential in assuring a smooth transition into production.

Before customer acceptance, Project Engineers perform several tests on the machine, mold, and auxiliary equipment to ensure satisfaction. Occasionally, tooling or machinery may require modifications. The on-site DESMA North American Manufacturing Center (NAMC) ensures the timely completion of this task. In the end, customers receive a system that has been runoff and accepted, resulting in a timely start-up and transition to production at the customer’s site.

ONGOING PRODUCTION SUPPORT

The relationship with the DESMA Project Team continues throughout the life of the DESMA equipment. When required, an engineer or service technician can travel to your facility to provide training or help resolve production-related challenges. In addition, the DESMA DRC 2030 control system has several troubleshooting screens available. With TeamViewer, project engineers and our North American Service Department can remotely access your control system for additional troubleshooting assistance.

ON-SITE TRAINING

After installing a machine, on-site training of operators will provide another opportunity to learn machine operation and troubleshoot fundamental production issues. Training is also emphasized by our service technicians, who will review in detail the functions of the machine with your maintenance staff during the machine start-up because repetitive training yields positive results. Additional training services are also available and can be tailored to your specific needs
